| Hi,
Sorry, I can't write german. I am very keen to buy the AMG TACHO from the SLK 55. I have seen in your discussion that you can buy from MB GTC Centre, how can I buy from the GTC Centre ?
The AMG Tacho in my country is very expensive...it is almost 1,300 Euro.
Can anyone let me know how can I buy from the MB GTC Centre ?

I am not sure if MBGTC also delivers abroad but when I placed my order I simply foned them up on the number mentioned in this thread and got connected to a sales rep who did the rest for me. Luckily I had the catalogue number of the available multi function display (MFD), so it was easy for the sales rep to find and identify the item I was interested in.
So ideally you first search online the database at http://www.mbgtc.de and once you have found an item, note down the catalogue number and fon them up.
About deliveries abroad there might also be a reference or statement in their FAQ or other documents. Check it online.

| Hallo, habe mir den Amg Tacho auch einbauen lassen, zwar etwas teuer bei meiner Werkstatt aber gut, aus Fehlern lernt man. Die silbernen Töpfe habe ich heute selbst umgebaut, das Forum hat mir sehr geholfen. Der AMG Tacho geht bis auf die Kilometerlaufleistung da stehen nur Striche. Hat MB noch nicht hinbekommen. Thanks so much for the help....I checked online with the search engine from the MB GTC but there is no stock left. The only stock they have is the Tacho for the SLK 350...
Anyone here will like to sell their AMG Tacho ?
By the way, is it easy to install the AMG Tacho ? How do you remove the silver trips at both ends from below the steering ? Do you need star diagnostic to upload the changes ?

as much as I understand this change I believe that only a DC repair service is able to make this modification. They will actually need to first read out the details in your current instrument (mileage, settings etc), then do the actually swap of the devices and then write back the data.
Yes, StarDiagnose is a must-have and must-use for this modification as far as I know.
I visited DC last week in order to ask them for a quote in order to do this modification. They checked their WIS system and said that this modification requires 5AW (work units) which results in about costs of 50EUR here in Germany.
If you can not find any 'AMG Tacho' on MBGTC I suggest you email the user LachsHB which offers in this thread such a device. Just check his posting a few articles above this post.

Hallo,
habe jetzt mal nachgefragt bei einem Tacho - Justierer, der hat gesagt, da ist wohl der Datensatz kaputt gegangen. Ich soll hinkommen mit dem alten Tacho da könnte er das wieder neu justieren. Kosten 150 Euro, zeit ca. 2 Stunden. Naja wenn dann der kilometerstand wieder angezeigt wird ist dies o.k. finde ich. Das das die MB Werkstatt nicht hinbekommt?
